Violet armed robbery suspect caught

Chalmette, La. - St. Bernard Parish deputies say they caught a man who robbed a business using what appears to be a stick as a weapon.

Deputies booked 29-year-old Roosevelt Walker with the armed robbery of a Violet business on St. Bernard Highway.

Deputies say surveillance video from the business shows Walker using a stick or piece of wood to threaten an employee to open the cash register.

They say Walker admitted to robbing the business for money to buy drugs.
