Four teens injured in house party shooting

Terrytown, La.- Police say four teenagers are injured following a shooting at a house party in Terrytown Saturday night.

It happened around 11:35 p.m. in the 400 block of East Butterfly Circle.

Investigators say a number of teenagers had gathered at a house for a party.

According to witnesses, six uninvited black males showed up in a black Dodge Charger, walked inside and began shooting. All six men in the black Charger fled the scene.

Police say at least five shots were fired and four people were hit.

The victims were transported to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries.

Police say one teen was shot in the face, but all four victims do not appear to be suffering from life threatening injuries.

Investigators say it appears shots were fired outside the home as well as inside. Police located two bullet casings near a pick- up truck and a car parked outside.

Shortly after the shooting, Louisiana State Police stopped a car fitting the description of the Charger on the Crescent City Connection and only one person occupied the car.

A witness at the party went to the scene where the driver was held and made a positive identification and he is now being held for questioning.

Anyone with any information on this shooting is urged to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111.
