CNN - Women have a better chance of living to be at least 100 years old than men do,  according to a new report by U.S. Census Bureau.

Of the more than 53,000 Americans age 100 and older, 80-percent are women.

Race and ethnicity were also factors. The Census found the majority of centenarians were whites who lived in urban areas.

The findings are based on the 2010 Census.
