Restaurants Around the World Depend on QSR's Powerful Systems and Management Tools to Reduce Costs and Improve Service
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) December 12, 2012
QSR Automations®, provider of the ConnectSmart® in-store, online, and mobile connected technology solutions for restaurant businesses worldwide, announces its latest hardware innovations, including the addition of audio to the popular xCeed® kitchen controller, the newest model of the powerful eXpert® controller, and the new patent-pending TouchBump™. QSR has also added support for the proven ePic® video controller through ConnectSmart ControlPoint, ensuring restaurants can easily and effectively manage every QSR hardware device with one robust software solution.
“QSR focuses on continuously providing technology advancements and choices for restaurants of every concept, with every budget, around the world,” said Brian Wayne, product manager for QSR Automations. “And, just like with our robust software offerings, our restaurant hardware is built specifically for the busiest, harshest kitchens and hostess stands.”
QSR’s ePic controller set the industry standard for reliable devices to run text based kitchen display software. QSR’s xCeed, now with audio, is a robust and flexible Microsoft® Windows® CE based controller for powering graphical kitchen display and recipe viewer software, while also providing support for international character sets and hardware certifications. Users rely on QSR’s eXpert to reliably run graphical kitchen display and table management applications along with full motion video and desktop applications.
QSR’s newest model eXpert runs the Microsoft® WES7 operating system and offers a new extruded aluminum and steel enclosure. The enclosure is the exact size of QSR’s other controllers to ensure bracketing ease, whether using QSR’s cost-effective bracketing solutions or third party options. With a robust processor, the eXpert now uses MicroSD or mSATA along with DDR3 memory, and can provide dual monitor, wide screen, and rotated video support. Additionally, like QSR’s popular xCeed, the eXpert now offers protective power circuitry to handle power surges, brown-outs, and over-voltage.
In addition to the latest bump bar enhancements which were announced earlier this year with QSR’s KP-7500™ keypad – such as a highly durable and heat resistant enclosure made of the same type of resin used in automotive engine compartments – QSR now offers the TouchBump. This patent-pending, industrialized device provides a rich combination of bump bar keys and a glidepad to eliminate touch screen monitors in the kitchen. Like the KP-7500, the keys are rated for thirty million pushes and the TouchBump ships with a unique three-year warranty.
All of these dependable QSR restaurant hardware devices are managed by ControlPoint, an intuitive software solution for use within a single restaurant location or across hundreds of restaurants. In addition to advanced real-time diagnostics and troubleshooting, ControlPoint enables quick configuration and the ability to perform updates and changes without the requirement to physically touch each device. Through the intuitive graphical interface, users can define each device in the restaurant configuration, creating a plug-and-play environment to simplify installation and ongoing maintenance.
“With QSR’s comprehensive ConnectSmart kitchen display and table management software solutions, restaurants gain touch points to reach and care for guests throughout the entire guest experience,” added Wayne. "We are extremely excited about the many hardware innovations we introduced in 2012, providing both table service and quick service restaurant companies with the systems they need to enhance service, drive efficiencies, and reduce costs.”
