New Orleans, La. - The NOPD is investigating a Wednesday morning murder that killed one man.
Police say it happened around 11:00am in the 1000 block of North Broad near Esplanade Avenue.
The victim has been identified as 57-year-old Donald Collins.
According to an NOPD spokesperson, a friend found Collins inside of an apartment building. He'd been shot and died on the scene.
Investigators are gathering information and evidence to identify the person(s) responsible as well as a motive.
