Gretna, La. - Jefferson Parish detectives have arrested a second suspect in connection with a double murder over the summer in Marrero. 19-year-old Jordan Hicks was picked up at a home in the 1500 block of Ames Street, following leads from investigators working on the case.

Thursday's arrest follows the capture of 23-year-old Earnest Payne earlier this week. Both are accused of gunning down Martin Harry and Delanta McCall on August 12, 2012 on Julie Street in Marrero. During that shooting, a third man was shot, but survived.

During the arrest of Hicks, investigators also apprehended two other people at the home on Ames on marijuana charges. Those arrested include 23-year-old Sherial Houston and 18-year-old Denzal Houston. Both were issues misdemeanor summons for possession of marijuana.

Detectives say the investigation into the Marrero murder is continuing.
