Leadership shuffled at Bogalusa school

BOGALUSA, La. (AP) - The top two administrators at Bogalusa Middle School have resigned.

Acting Superintendent Toni Breaux tells the Daily News that principal Tonja Varnado Seal resigned effective Dec. 19 and assistant principal Melessa Walker-Petty's resignation was effective Dec. 3.

Walker-Petty was recently assigned to the middle school after being transferred from Superior Avenue Elementary, where she had been principal.

Washington Parish Schools Superintendent Darrell Fairburn said Seal will begin work as a special education teacher in January at Franklinton High School.
