New Orleans, La.- Police are investigating a shooting in the 7th Ward that killed a 24-year-old man and injured a 25-year-old man.
The shooting happened around 10:40 p.m. in the 1900 block of Tonti Street.
Police responded to a call of shots fired and found the 24-year-old man with several gunshot wounds to his body inside of a Nissan Maxima. He died on the scene.
The 25-year-old man was shot to the face and ran to the 2100 block of Saint Anthony Street where he was transported to the hospital by EMS. He was taken into surgery and his condition is unknown at this time.
The names of the victims have not been released pending notification of family members.
