French Quarter prepares for New Year's Eve revelers

New Orleans, La. - You can already find signs the French Quarter is gearing up for the metro area's biggest New Year's Eve party.

A newly renovated fleur-de-lis ornament is atop Jax Brewery condominiums, waiting for a countdown to 2013.

About 50,000 people are expected to attend the French Quarter's free party.

It will include a fireworks show, launched from the river.
