Yonkers, N.Y. - People planning to buy a new car in 2013 have a new list that guides them to the best buys.
Consumer Reports researchers have released their list of "Best Value" vehicles for 2013.
They think the Toyota Prius is the best buy, overall. To decide which cars represent "Best Value," the magazine evaluated each car's estimated ownership costs, performance test results and predicted reliability.
Consumer Reports has a "Best Value" vehicle for each class of automobile. Toyota's Camry Hyrbid XLE gets the nod in the magazine's family sedan class. Honda's CR-V EX gets the "Best Value" title in the Small SUV category.
