Police look for person of interest in purse snatching

Jefferson Parish, La.- The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department is asking for help in locating a man who is a person of interest in an alleged purse snatching in the 4100 block of Peters Road.

The incident happened on Friday evening shortly after 6 p.m.

Police say a female leaving a West Bank business in Harvey was approached by the suspect who forcibly took possession of her purse and then fled in an unknown make and model white vehicle. 

It is unknown whether the suspect drove the vehicle or a second suspect was driving. 

The man in this picture was captured on video surveillance following the victim as she left the business.  This man is a person of interest in this purse snatching.   

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 40 years of age with a slim build, wearing a dark knit cap, a brown long sleeve sweater and dark nylon sport pants.
