New Orleans, La.- The New Orleans Police Department is asking the public's assistance in identifying a masked man wanted for an armed robbery at a Cellular phone store in the 3300 block of Bienville Street.
Investigators say the masked man abruptly walked into the store on Thursday around 1:10 p.m., approached the register with a handgun and demanded the clerk to open the register.
The store's employee complied with the robber's demand and placed money from the register on the countertop.
The suspect then turned to the only customer inside of the store and demanded he empty his pockets at which time the customer complied and placed his cash in a plastic bag.
The suspect made off with about $600-$700 in cash and fled the store on foot.
