Police are searching for a suspect and information after an afternoon shooting killed a man in Algiers.
It happened around 1:10 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Cypress Acres Drive. Police arrived at the scene and found a 24-year-old man inside an automobile.
"The man was found inside of a white Chevrolet Camaro shot several times to the body" reads a press release from NOPD. "He died on the scene."
Police are withholding the name of the victim until notification of his family.
