Fox 8 received the following press release from Jefferson Parish:

Beginning on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 8:30am and ending on Monday, February 11, 2013, at 3:30pm, the Lapalco Boulevard Bridge over the Harvey Canal in Harvey will have daily alternating lane closures.

During the closure, one eastbound and one westbound lane of Lapalco Boulevard over the Harvey Canal will alternate closures, one lane will remain open to motorists at all times. The closure is necessary for bridge repair.

C.E.C., Inc. is performing the work at a total project cost of $4,680,635. The work should be completed February 11, 2013, barring any contractor delay and weather permitting.
