BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Charles Carmouche's 17 points led four players in double figures as LSU used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Bethune-Cookman 79-63 Saturday in a non-conference matchup.
Carmouche capped his solid all-around effort with seven rebounds, five assists and four steals as the Tigers (9-2) led wire-to-wire after building a 19-4 advantage in the game's first 8 minutes.
LSU also received double figures from Shavon Coleman (14), Anthony Hickey (14) and Andrew Del Piero (10). Coleman hauled in a game-high 12 rebounds to claim his third double-double in his last four outings, while Del Piero's 10 points were a career-high.
Bethune Cookman (5-10) was paced by Adrien Coleman, who poured in 16 of his game-high 24 points during the second half. Alex Smith also added 10 points for the Wildcats.
