New Orleans, La - The Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club held a big party Saturday. The "Zulu Big Shot Flag Raising Ceremony" was held at Kenilworth Park.
Brent Washington, Zulu's Chairman of Finance, is "Big Shot" 2013. The public was invited to attend the annual tradition that introduced this Zulu character to Mardi Gras 2013. Washington was elected by the members of the club.
"Just to be Big Shot is a great honor," said Washington. "It's the highest honor that I've ever had so far."
The event included music, food and the Big Shot's Second Line.
