How one trip to the drive thru changed Tracy Carters life.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 07, 2013
Tracy was at a fast-food drive thru. When she reached for her wallet in her purse to pay, she realized her purse had fallen and slid under her passenger side chair. She had a problem getting to her purse that day but realized she came up with a perfect idea!
Tracy Carter is a part-time choir singer, part-time volleyball coach, and full-time mother and wife. You can say she is a Queen of all trades. To add to her busy schedule she is also the inventor of the Purse Scooper. A product designed to help keep your bag, purse, or briefcase within arms reach but more importantly to prevent its contents from spilling over in the inside of your car when you are driving.
Tracy came to 424 Design in 2012 looking to get her idea mass produced for a first sample production run. She had made many elegant prototypes she made by hand in zebra print, cheetah print, pinks, blues, you name it, she made it!
Her product had an opportunity to be designed where it was more cost-effective to make and was a more automated process to produce larger quantities. Tracy wanted to make sure the essence of the idea was not lost, still had the strength to take on about 10 lbs or more of load, but also still was able to feature fun patterns such as zebra and cheetah.
Tracy already had a patent on her idea so 424 Design worked closely with her patent attorney to make sure the guidelines of her patent were being met. 424 Design guided her through the design process through a few sketches and even some quick prototypes.
The end result was a strong aluminum holder that could be hung onto the headrest of your car. 424 Design recommended Tracy to a few manufacturing vendors to make her first sample production run right here in the good US of A!
“424 Design was a great company to work for, and I would recommended their services to anyone looking to develop a product from scratch!” -Tracy Carter
Today, she has made many connections with buyers, wholesalers, and manufacturers to expand her business and take The Purse Scooper to the next level. The Purse Scooper is now featured and being sold on QVC.COM
