Study: New Orleans has 7th most congested roadways

Las Vegas, Nev. - Drivers in the New Orleans metropolitan area face the seventh most congested roadways in North America.

TomTom researchers came out with their annual study of traffic congestion Tuesday. They come up with rankings based on real travel time data captured by vehicles driving the entire road network.

The top five most congested cities are out west. Los Angeles comes in at #1. Vancouver takes the #2 spot. San Francisco ranks #3. Honolulu and Seattle round out the top five.
