Three LSU seniors named to Birmingham All-Star Game

Baton Rouge, La. - Three LSU seniors have accepted invitations to the Raycom All-Star Classic in Birmingham, Al. to be played on Saturday, January 19th.

Kicker Drew Alleman, defensive end Chancey Aghayere and defensive tackle Josh Downs will all participate in the game and practices during the week, starting Monday, January 14th.  They will play for the "Stars" team, which will face the "Stripes."

Alleman was named second team All-SEC in 2012 with 21-of-29 field goals converted and all 44 extra point kicks.

Aghayere played in 43 games over the duration of his career in Baton Rouge and totaled 44 tackles, 4.5 for loss, and two sacks.

Downs started ten games at defensive tackle in 2012 for LSU, finishing with 19 tackles, 5.5 for loss, and 3.5 sacks on the year.

A day later, Orgeron changed course, saying Guice will in fact play against the Orange. Guice met with the training staff convincing them he was ready to practice Thursday.
