Man wanted in French Quarter stabbing

New Orleans, La. - New Orleans Police detectives are searching for a man accused in a stabbing over the weekend in the French Quarter.

Police say the suspect, known only as Ryan, is wanted for a stabbing early Sunday morning around 4 am in the 1100 block of Decatur Street, near Ursulines.

The victim, who was stabbed four times in the back and once in the shoulder survived the attack. Police say the man they are looking for is known to frequent the French Quarter and Marigny/ Bywater area.

He's described as a white man, about 30 years of age, 5 foot 5 inches tall with a slim build. He has a low to shaved hairstyle and several distinguished tattoos.  He has a paw on the left hand, horizontal dark lines under both eyes (cheeks), and vertical dark lines on the neck.
