New Orleans, La.-Former Governor Edwin Edwards' biographer Leo Honeycutt expresses some concern about the way a new reality show may portray Edwards and his new wife, Trina.
"The Governor's Wife" is set to premier on A&E in February and comes at a time when the couple is reportedly expecting a baby.
Honeycutt says he hopes the couple is fairly portrayed.
In an interview on FOX 8 News Morning Edition, Honeycutt said, "I'm really concerned for them and how it will treat them in a real way and not stereotype. Because if you look at these reality shows they always stereotype characters and promote this mischaracterization of the people, on what some New Yorkers or west coasters want to believe about Louisiana."
Early indications are that the program will center around Trina Edwards as she settles into the extended family which includes her own teenagers and Edwards' adult daughters.
