New Orleans, La.- Police are looking for 19-year-old Kentrell Harris for kidnapping 3-year-old Dajanae Brady on Monday.
It happened around10:00 am in the 2200 block of Gallier Street.
Investigators say Harris arrived at the child's father house and told him that the grandmother asked her to pick up the baby for her and bring the baby to her home on Pauline Street.
The child's father told police that the family has known Harris for five years and allowed her to pick up the child in the past.
On Thursday, the father learned that the grandmother did not have the baby and that she did not ask or give Harris permission to pick the child. The family was unsuccessful in contacting Harris and called police.
Police have secured an arrest warrant for Harris which was signed by a Magistrate judge for aggravated kidnapping of a child.
Anyone with information on Harris' whereabouts is urged to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111.
