Chicago, Il. - The Chicago Bears have hired former Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman as their head coach and a league source confirms to FOX 8 that former Saints interim head coach and offensive line coach Aaron Kromer will be the Bears' new offensive coordinator.
Kromer will also serve as offensive line coach for Chicago, a position he held in New Orleans for a total of four seasons. He began with the Saints in 2008 as running backs coach before switching to the line and taking on the duty of running game coordinator.
During the 2012 season, he filled in for the suspended Sean Payton and Joe Vitt as interim head coach for six games. He went 2-4 during the stretch before Vitt returned from suspension.
