New Orleans, La. - Bad defense doomed the Hornets who gave up a season-high 67 points in the first half alone. Despite outscoring the Warriors 32-18 in the third quarter and regaining the lead, the Hornets fell 116-112.
Former Hornets players Carl Landry and Jarrett Jack enjoyed their returns to New Orleans. Landry started and recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Jack came off the bench but led the Warriors in scoring with 25 points and also logged 12 assists.
The Hornets were led in scoring by Eric Gordon(23), Anthony Davis(20), and Ryan Anderson(19) while Al-Farouq Aminu and Roger Mason, Jr. also got into double digits.
The biggest disadvantage for the Hornets was in free throws. The Warriors were 30-for-35, while the Hornets could only muster 13-for-23 shooting.
