Atlanta, Ga - Atlanta Police officers are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred Sunday at 6:40p.m. outside of the Georgia Dome, following the San Francisco 49ers/ Atlanta Falcons playoff football game.
WAGA-TV is reporting that a Falcons fan got into a verbal altercation with a man and two women who are 49ers fans. Witnesses say that things turned violent before one of the 49ers fans cut the 35-year-old Falcons fan's throat.
An Atlanta police spokesperson says that police with the Georgia World Congress Center are handling the matter.
Fans were cleared from the area in front of the Silver Lot along Georgia Dome drive to investigate the incident.
The victim's friends say that he has been transported to the hospital. The man is listed in stable condition in an Atlanta hospital.
