Fox News- Having a lot of money doesn't necessarily make you happy, but giving it away might just do that.
During a conference here in New Orleans, Harvard business professor Michael Norton did a series of studies.
He found that giving away money, even if you're not rich makes you feel wealthier and happier.
Norton says giving away money increases how well off you feel.
He adds, it's not only about money. Norton says people who volunteer their time, feel they have more time than those who don't.
Norton presented his findings at the Society for Personality and Social Psychology in New Orleans.
