Baton Rouge, LA. - A two-year-old child Baton Rouge Police said was accidentally shot Monday night has died, and a teen felon has been accused of negligent homicide as a result.
Police identified the child as Travin Varise. They said 18-year-old Terrance Varise was playing with a handgun when it went off, hitting Travin.
Officers arrested Terrance Varise and accused him of being a felon in possession of a firearm. They upgraded his charges to negligent homicide this morning after the toddler died.
