New Orleans, La.- Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating 13-year-old Curnisha Dyer, who was last seen by her mother on January 9 at approximately 7:30 am., at their residence in the 2400 block of Music Street.
Dyer was last seen getting ready for school and was supposed to catch the school bus at Orleans Avenue and North Galvez Street. It is not known if Dyer ever got on the school bus.
Family say Dyer has run away in the past, but would have returned home by this time and she has not been seen or heard from since.
Dyer is described as an African-American female, 5'4" tall with brown hair and she is known to wear a wig.
She was last seen wearing a powder blue shirt and navy pants with black shoes or boots, consistent with the Schaumberg school uniform.
Police say Dyer is in need of her medication.
