Slidell, La. - A 10-month-old girl from the Slidell area died Thursday evening when she crawled from her residence and was run over in the driveway by a vehicle driven by her own father, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the 300 block of Lenwood Drive in Slidell after receiving a 911 call just after 5:00 p.m. Thursday from a family member. The baby was immediately transported to Ochsner Medical Center-Northshore, where she was later pronounced dead.
Deputies were still speaking with family members Thursday evening. More information will be released as it becomes available. Alcohol is not believed to have been a contributing factor and no arrests are expected to be made in this case.
