CNN - If you asked pop legend Tina Turner where "Simply the Best" place to live is,  she probably wouldn't say the United States.

Turner moved to Switzerland years ago and now she's working to get Swiss citizenship.  That means the 73-year-old will be giving up her U.S. citizenship.

According to the AFP news service, Turner moved to Switzerland in 1995 and lives in a picturesque town on the shores of Lake Zurich in northern Switzerland.

A Swiss daily paper is reporting that she's already passed a local civics test and interview.

Turner told AFP that she feels at home in Switzerland and cannot imagine a better place to live.
