New Orleans, La. - Super Bowl XLVII Media Day inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome did not disappoint. Over five thousand media credentials were issued and for the second time ever fans were able to attend and watch. This year a few thousand watched and listened in the stands.
Media Day always brings characters and this year I'd have to say ‘Pick Boy' from Nick Toons was the most popular with a microphone.
As for the players and coaches, the biggest draws were pretty predictable. The Harbaughs drew big crowds. Being around both these guys the last three days, it's wild how polar opposite they are with the media. Jim is stern and serious. John is much more personable. Each of their respective teams take on that persona with the press.
Other big draws were 49ers quarterback Colin Kapernick, Ravens' linebacker Ray Lewis and Ravens Ed Reed.
All in all, I'd say it was another success it what is hopefully a successful Super Bowl week in New Orleans.
