Kenner, La. - The Transportation Security Administration announced steps its taking to make sure travelers move smoothly through Armstrong International Airport after Super Bowl XLVII.

The TSA says security officers are coming in from other states to help control the large amount of football fans and media who will be using the airport.

The agency is also bringing in extra equipment to keep the security lines moving as quickly as possible.

Jon Allen with the TSA said, "there will actually be a total of 11 additional checkpoint lanes that will be available, actually starting Sunday, but Sunday, Monday and continuing as passengers depart from here."

The TSA recommends travelers arrive a few hours in advance of their flights to make sure they make it through security on time.
