Police need your help to track down the shooter in an attack that left one man dead and another wounded in the Little Woods area of New Orleans East.
FOX 8 News received this press release from NOPD Tuesday night:
Homicide Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man and the wounding of another. The Incident occurred around 6:00pm in the 7100 block of Bunker Hill. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.
Officers responded to a "male down" in front of a residence. When officers arrived they found the 23-year-male unresponsive. He'd been shot multiple times and died on the scene. Officers also found a 23-year-old man suffering from a gunshot to the body. He was transported to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.
Homicide Detective Ryan Vaught is in charge of the investigation.
