A Ponchatoula man has been arrested and charged with aggravated rape and three counts of pornography involving juveniles, announced Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.
Agents arrested 51-year-old Robert Swan following a joint investigation involving the Attorney General's High Technology Crime and Fugitive Apprehension Units and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office.
After a search warrant was executed at Swan's residence, agents found evidence showing that he was involved in the possession, production and distribution of child pornography. Further evidence obtained from his computer led to an additional charge of aggravated rape.
Swan was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail and could face more than 20 years in prison for each pornography charge. If convicted of aggravated rape, he could be sentenced to life in prison without parole.
