Laplace, La. - A fatal accident tied up traffic on Interstate 10 westbound over the Bonnet Carre spillway for hours.
Louisiana State Police believe two people died in the fiery crash around 5:30 a.m. at mile marker 214.
Investigators say one of the two cars was so badly burned they're having difficulty identifying the victims.
Fire trucks were on the scene and the fire was out as of 6:30 a.m. and one lane was re-opened, but heavy delays lingered back to Loyola in Kenner.
