Houma, La. - Louisiana Office of Alcohol & Tobacco Control Commissioner Troy Hebert announces that a downtown Houma night club and local officials have reached an agreement to resolve numerous issues stemming from the Club's operations.

ATC held a hearing in Houma on January 25, 2013 on allegations presented by city officials and residents of public nuisance problems associated with The City Club of Houma.

Based on testimony presented, Commissioner Hebert gave the owner of the club, Mike Fesi Jr., 10 days to meet with local officials and establish terms to ensure that his nightclub will operate responsibly or face penalties up to revocation of his alcoholic beverage permit.

ATC will issue a warning to the Club with the stipulation that it adheres to the terms of the agreement or face possible fines, suspension, or revocation of its alcohol permit. The terms are:

The age limit for entry into the club will be raised from 18 to 21 years.

Mr. Fesi will pay a security detail for downtown Houma to keep patrons safe from loiters and monitor other illegal activities.

The music from this club will be monitored closely as to prevent violating the sound ordinance. The doors to the business will not be left open. Officer's present suggested that he invest in a sound board to help with the sound issue.

Security personnel employed by City Club will escort the bar patrons to their cars.

Bar patrons will be encouraged to utilize the side door when exiting.

Last call for alcohol will be at 1:45 a.m., as well as winding down the music.

Load capacity will be monitored by City Club employees.

Before installing any interior walls, approval will be obtained from the State Fire Marshall.

Employees have agreed to pick up the trash from the exterior of the building during and after events.
