New Orleans, La. -

Police are investigating two deadly shooting incidents in the Seventh Ward Mardi Gras evening.

The latest shooting happened around 8:00 p.m. in the 1800 block of Onzaga Street.  Police say two women were shot in their stomachs outside Danny's Seafood market.

"The 2 females were shot outside in front of a business," reads a brief written statement to news media by NOPD.

Later Wednesday morning, NOPD advised that one of the victims, 34-year-old Zabrina Davis, died of her wounds.  We do not know the condition of the second victim, a 25-year-old woman, at this time.

One man died earlier Tuesday evening after he was shot in the 1800 block of Laharpe St.  FOX 8 received this news release from NOPD on that incident Tuesday evening:

A 22-year-old man was killed after a shooting this evening in the 7th Ward Neighborhood.

The shooting happened at approximately 6:15 P.M., in the 1800 block of Laharpe Street.

The man was shot to the head.  He died at the hospital.

The victim in that shooting is identified as Kiran Harris.

The two shootings occurred less than three blocks away from each other, but there is no indication at this point that they are connected.

If you have any information about either of these two shootings, please call NOPD or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
