Kenner, La.- The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that injured 27-year-old Michael Young Thursday morning.
It happened around 9 a.m. at Cumberland and Newton Streets in Metairie.
Police say Young was shot multiple times and was transported to University Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
Police say his condition is unknown at this time.
Investigators recovered a pistol and crack cocaine in Young's pocket.
This shooting remains under investigation and police have not determined a motive or named any suspects.
