First Biannual Natas Fair 2013 Kicks Off this February

The first of the biannual NATAS Travel Fair in 2013 starts from 22 to 24 February at Singapore Expo Hall 3B, 4 and 5.

Singapore's largest travel association, The National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS) organizes two travel fairs a year. Its first NATAS Travel Fair in 2013 will be held at the Singapore Expo Halls 3B, 4 and 5 from 22 to 24 February.

The Natas Fair 2013 is an event highly anticipated by Singapore holidaymakers. Leading travel agents, NTO, banks (credit cards), hotels, airlines, travel insurance companies and other travel related companies will come together under one roof to offer competitive travel deals, cheap airfares and lucky draws to attract tens of thousands of visitors to spend over $100 millions during the 3-day event.

The NATAS official website reported, "a total of 65,822 visitors over the 3 days and achieved a record-breaking S$108 million in collective sales" during the previous NATAS Holidays 2012 in August last year.

"Traveling has become a necessity for middle-class Singapore residents," said Lim Phing Phing, founder of GoingPlaces.sg. "Prices of tour packages have stagnated or even fallen due to competitive air fares and lower profit margin so more people will travel in 2013 despite the economic uncertainties."

Large travel agencies like Chan Brothers, Dynasty Travel, CTC Travel and ASA Holidays will be present in the forthcoming Natas Fair to showcase a wide array of travel and holiday packages including all-inclusive package tours, free-and-easy tours and cruise holidays.

Aside from the attractive offers such as 1-for-1 travel deals at the travel fair, lucky draws and freebie are given to those who made payment using credit cards. NATAS partners with Mastercard and major banks like Citibank, DBS, OCBC and UOB to offer freebies ranging from trolley luggage bags to "sure-win" lucky draws.

As in previous years, Travel Guard Chartis and Tenet are the two major travel insurance companies present at the event. Up to 45% discount is given to single trip policy and is popular with visitors who come to hunt for bargains. Other bargain items at the travel fair include winter clothing and photobooks.
