(Fox News) A tenant in Ohio falls behind on his rent and his landlord responds with a spanking.
According to Waynesville Police, Ron Kronenberger told his tenant that if he was going to act like a child, he would treat him like one.
The tenant told officers he was scared and just wanted to get it over with.
A former employee of Kronenberger, Mary Hammiel called it "shocking."
Kronenberger is well-known in the village, which has a population of nearly 2900. He once owned the local grocery store and was named Citizen of the year in 2006.
"He is a very old school type person and he does believe in very strict discipline," said Hammiel. "I don't know what made him go over the edge to do this but I'm sure he had a reasoning behind it right, wrong, or indifferent."
