New Orleans, La - The Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office is no longer investigating the incident involving a Bacchus rider who allegedly threw a jug of urine on a North Shore family.
The victims say one of the float riders threw the urine on them as they watched the parade go by Sunday, February 10th. The district attorney's office began investigating the allegation after FOX 8 first reported the story. But assistant district attorney Christopher Bowman says in a statement...
"The District Attorney's Office looked into this matter and that investigation quickly revealed that the person initially accused of this offense was not responsible for it. The investigation, however, did not reveal any admissible evidence as to who the actual perpetrator was. Accordingly, the district attorney closed the investigation as we determined it was more appropriate to be resolved in a civil court of law."
The victims had no comment.
