American Idol fans can now become "SuperVoters"

Beginning Tuesday, March 5th, fans will be able to use American Idol's new online voting feature to cast 50 votes at once.

Viewers will be able to "SuperVote" either online, via the American Idol mobile app and/or on Facebook.

Here's how American Idol promoters say it can be done: "To SuperVote, fans can allocate any number of votes for one contestant or multiple contestants, for a total of 50 votes (across all online voting destinations), and in a unique interactive experience, they can adjust their vote selections as performances happen during the show. When the voting window officially opens, fans can submit their final votes - all at once."

Fans will be able to begin casting their votes on Tuesday, March 5th. The top 10 girl semifinalists, including LaPlace native Breanna Steer, will sing live from Las Vegas to stay in the competition.

On Wednesday, March 6th, the top 10 guy semifinalists get their chance live on stage. New Orleans native Burnell Taylor will perform in hopes of earning enough votes from viewers to become one of the shows season finalists.

American Idol will reveal the show's finalists during a 90-minute live show on Thursday, March 7th.

Viewers can still vote via the show's toll-free number. Click here for more information about American Idol voting.
