Gulfport police: 1 dead in Monday night shooting

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Gulfport police are investigating a fatal shooting.

Authorities said they received a call about shots fired at a Gulfport location around 8:20 p.m. Monday.

When officers arrived, they found one man dead. He was identified as 31-year-old Damien Thompson.

Details on what led to the shooting have not emerged. No arrests have been reported.
