N.O. audition dates set for season 3 of "The X Factor"

New Orleans, La.- You won't need to go far to prove you have "The X Factor" this year.

FOX's search for talent for the next season of "The X Factor" will include a stop in New Orleans. Thousands are expected to show up at the Lakefront Arena next month to audition. Audition registration will take over the venue April 12th and 13th. Auditions will happen the 14th.

New Orleans is one of only five cities to host auditions for season three. To learn more about audition rules, click here.

The show's search for a new panel of celebrity judges is ongoing. Singer Britney Spears and producer Antonio "L.A." Reid have announced they're not returning for season three. Demi Lovato is expected to rejoin Cowell on the show.
