New Orleans, La. - Woodland West Elementary rallies together to help the family of a missing teacher.
Woodland West Elementary Principal Amy Hoyle says the school has set up a fund at Regions Banks to help Terrilynn Monette's family with expenses in their search for her.
Monette's family is flying in from California Tuesday to help look for the 26-year-old.
Friends and family say 26-year-old Terrilynn Monette went to Parlay's Bar on Harrison Avenue around 3:30 Saturday morning and hasn't been heard from since. Monette apparently told a group of friends at the bar that she was going to sleep in her car in the parking lot because she had been drinking.
A witness told NOPD detectives he saw Monette in the parking lot around 4:00 a.m. with an unknown man.
Her family is pleading with anyone for information about Monette's whereabouts.
Monette is originally from California. Her aunt says the woman has been in Louisiana for a year and a half, fulfilling her dream of being a teacher.
She was last seen wearing a pink and yellow sweater and blue jeans. Her car is a black 2012 two-door Honda Accord with license plate number WUN 494.
If you can help find Terrilynn Monette or know anything about where police can find her, call NOPD or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
