Dozens of friends and family members of Terrilynn Monette gathered at Church of Abundant Life in Harvey Wednesday night to pray for her safe return.
Members of the Woodland West Elementary School family say this has been an incredibly difficult week. Monette is a beloved second grade teacher at the school.
Some of her students attended the service. They tell FOX 8 they miss their teacher very much. Students who couldn't attend sent letters expressing their hope for her safe return.
Monette has been missing since Saturday. She was last seen in the parking lot of Parlay's Bar in New Orleans' Lakeview area.
Family and friends have organized a search effort for Thursday. If you would like to help, meet the volunteers at 7:30 Thursday morning at Parlay's on Harrison Avenue.
