Family, friends gather to search for missing Harvey teacher

New Orleans, La. - Volunteers, friends, and family gathered early Thursday morning to search for Terilynn Monette, a Harvey teacher that went missing last weekend.

Those involved in the search met at 7:30am at Parlay's Bar at 870 Harrison Avenue. Groups of volunteers fanned out across the Lakeview area and beyond for any sign of Monette or her 2012 black Honda Accord.

Monette was last seen early Saturday morning.

Investigators say a witness reported seeing her around 4am in her car in the parking lot with an unknown man.

Monette works at Woodland West Elementary in Harvey.

She was last seen wearing a pink and yellow sweater and blue jeans.
