New Orleans, La.- Police are asking the public's assistance in locating 37-year-old Nicki Sharpton, who was last seen Saturday in the 700 block of Saint Louis Street.

Investigators say Sharpton was last seen leaving her mother's home around 2 p.m. and heading to a nearby bar.

Sharpton has not been seen or heard from since.

According to a friend of Sharpton, she is known to dance at a Bourbon Street adult club.

Sharpton recently moved to New Orleans from Atlanta, Georgia.

Police describe Sharpton as an African American female, about 5'6" tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants with a blonde and black wig.

Anyone with any information of Sharpton's whereabouts is urged to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111.
