Man shot to death in Dillard area


FOX 8 received this news release from the New Orleans Police Dept. Friday night:

New Orleans Police are investigating a fatal shooting that left a 43-year-old man dead.  The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.  

Shortly before 8:00 P.M., in the 3600 block of Frenchmen Street, officers located the victim inside his vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body.  He was transported to the hospital where he later died.  

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in the incident, as well as a motive. 

Homicide Detectives are in charge of the investigation and can be reached at 658-5300.
