New Orleans, La. - Look forward to at least another two weeks of falling gas prices.

Lundberg Survey analysts suspect prices will continue to fall because refiners and retailers have profit margins healthy enough to support price cuts.

According to AAA, a gallon of gas goes for about $3.55 in the New Orleans metro area right now. That's down $.04 compared to last week.

The average price of a gallon of gasoline across the nation has dropped $.06 over the past two weeks. It's the first decrease in gas prices since late December.

The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices reports the price of a gallon of regular is $3.74. Midgrade costs an average of $3.91 a gallon, and premium is $4.04.

Diesel was down four cents to $4.13 gallon.
